• Monday, Oct. 12 — The Sheriff’s Office received a report of suspicious activity in the 3700 block of County Road 312. A man was sitting on the side of the road.
• Monday, Oct. 12 — Idaho Springs police responded to a call about a stolen vehicle at the Mountain Gateway Center along East Idaho Springs Road. The owner reported he left the vehicle running with the key in the ignition. After being entered as stolen in national databases, the vehicle was located later that evening by the Aurora Police Department and returned to the owner.
• Monday, Oct. 12 — The Sheriff’s Office received a call about vandalized property at the bottom of Santa Fe Mine Road.
• Monday, Oct. 12 — Idaho Springs police responded an assault inside a vehicle in the 1700 block of Placer Street. One person was arrested.
• Monday, Oct. 12 — Idaho Springs police responded to a call about a stolen vehicle at Jenny’s Market along Colorado Boulevard. The owner reported she had gone inside the store after pumping gas and left the keys in the car’s ignition. The case remains open.
• Thursday, Oct. 15 — The Sheriff’s Office received a report from a Barrows Ranch Road resident about fraudulent credit-card charges.
• Thursday, Oct. 15 — Idaho Springs police responded to a suspicious-activity report at a residence in the 2800 block of Miner Street. The reporting party stated that an unknown person entered the home through an unlocked door and then left.
• Friday, Oct. 16 — Idaho Springs officer responded to an assault in progress in the 2800 block of Miner Street. One person was arrested on suspicion of assault-family violence, and another person was determined to have an outstanding felony narcotics warrant out of Jeffco and was also taken to the jail.
• Saturday, Oct. 17 — The Sheriff’s Office received a report of fraud along Sacred Mountain Trail. A resident described how they received a fraudulent phone call.
• Saturday, Oct. 17 — An Idaho Springs officer initiated a vehicle stop after reportedly observing a hazardous violation. During the stop, the officer allegedly observed a controlled substance in the vehicle, and narcotics were later reportedly found on the driver. He was arrested.
• Saturday, Oct. 17 — Idaho Springs police responded to a report of stolen vehicle parts in the 1000 block of Miner Street. The reporting party stated that two catalytic converters were taken from his vehicles that were parked on the street. The next day, a resident in the 1300 block of Idaho Street also reported that a catalytic converter was stolen out of their vehicle. It is believed that both incidents are related, and the cases are open.
