What makes you the best choice for this office?

The biggest thing that sets me apart is I am a Parker native and third-generation Parker resident. I am a mom of four and a Parker businesswoman who wants to be a voice for the residents of Parker who have chosen like me to raise their kids in this wonderful town. I am deeply rooted in Parker and plan on helping this community thrive and connect and whether I am on council or not. Keeping the hometown feel of Parker and creating a wonderful space for people to live and work is incredibly important to me.

If you’re elected, what is one single issue that will be at the top of your agenda?

One of the main concerns I hear consistently from Parker residents is the speeding through residential neighborhoods where children constantly play. This is something that needs to be addressed and discussed so we can come up with an action plan to protect the neighborhood children and animals from speeding cars, one of my ideas is installing speed bumps in high traffic residential areas to force speeding cars to slow down and protect the children and animals.

If you’re elected, what must you accomplish in order for you to consider your term a success?

The term success for me is defined as doing the best of my ability and making the best decisions for the residents and the Town of Parker. I will consider my term a success if I can get our town back to following the Master 2035 Plan and if I can get speed bumps installed in the high traffic residential neighborhoods.

In your view, what is (or should be) the role and responsibility of a Parker Town Council member?

Our role as council members is to be listening to the residents of Parker and what is important to them. Our own personal agendas don’t matter when we are in a town representative position. We represent the people who elected us and I feel it is our responsibility to be a voice for them and to consider the good of the town when it comes to both the legislative and the judicial decisions we make.

Why are you seeking this office?

I read the entire Master Plan for Parker and I really loved the plan that’s laid out for Parker. Although growth is inevitable, growth should be managed to keep our community the amazing “hometown feel” that we love. Our Master Plan is an excellent guiding light for Parker. I noticed new construction had been approved and very specifically gone against the Master Plan. I’m rooted in Parker, in the past I was only able to have an opinion but serving Parker on Town Council will be the biggest way for me to be a voice for the residents.
