A group calling themselves “Golden United” has been working behind the scenes to obtain approval from the Golden Council to hang a “Black Lives Matter” banner below the Welcome Arch on Washington Ave.
While many people believe it honorable to express support for our many black citizens who have been mistreated in the U.S., support of the group known as BLM is not the way to do so.
I believe BLM is a Marxist organization dedicated to overturning our government and everything our democracy stands for. BLM leaders Garza, Cullors and Tometlin openly proclaim themselves to be trained Marxists.
There is no reason we should encourage such a group when its associated protests have caused so much damage and violence in Democrat controlled cities around the country, including Denver.
