Letter to the editor: Gardner should go

Back in May, the House Democrats passed the HEROES Act which would continue the $600 per week unemployment past July for folks who have lost their job due to COVID-19.  Sadly, Cory Gardner and the rest of the Senate Republicans have wasted two months of precious time, and they are still dithering.  Over 330,000 Coloradans depend on this money for food and rent until we can control the virus and re-build the economy.  Until then, these jobs are gone, and families face eviction and hunger.  I’m so disappointed in Senator Gardner who continues to vote in lockstep with Mitch McConnell and Trump instead of taking care of his constituents. I’m voting for John Hickenlooper because he cares about Colorado families – not just pleasing Trump.
