AURORA — Prairie View’s Aleksandara Anderson won two events at dash at the April 26 Robert F. Caviness Invitational track meet. Her top time in the 100-meter hurdles was 17.5, her second-fastest effort of the season. Anderson’s first-place time in the 300-meter hurdles was 46.66 seconds, just 0.08 of a second off her top time this spring.
The T-Hawks’ Elsa Martinez won the 400-meter She turned in a time of 1:07.2.
Aleksandra Anderson captured the title in the 100-meter hurdles, where she posted a time of 17.5. That was her second-fastest time of the season. Her top time of 15.94 seconds came at the Maxine Ehrmann Invitational a week before.
PVHS’ 4-by-100-meter relay team (Anderson, Lind, Melissa Mata and Schoneman) won the 4-by-100-meter relay in a time of 51.0.
Jordan Holm turned in a first-place effort as well. His top distance in the boys long jump was 21-9 3/4. He also took third in the triple jump at 41 feet 2 inches.
Elsewhere, Emily Schoneman placed third in the girls 100-meter dash. Her time was 12.95 seconds, a season best. She also took fifth in the long jump (14-10 ¾). Faith Bejarano was third in the pole vault with a top height of 6 feet 6 inches.
PVHS’ Halley Lind was sixth in the 100-meters with a time of 13.09, also a season-best. She also finished seventh in the 200-meter dash, where her time was 29.1.
Donovan Otero was second in the boys 400-meter dash in a time of 52.2. Sean Rodarte took third in the boys 100-meter dash in a time of 11.17 seconds. Tavish Whelan was sixth in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 18.6. Fifth place in the boys pole vault went to Jesse Richarson of the T-Hawks. His best height was an even 9 feet.
The T-Hawks’ 4-by-100-meter relay team (Otero, Richardson, Rodarte and Whelan) was sixth in a time of 46.90.
