Noah L. Bass, 82, of Ft. Lupton, passed away April 27, 2014, in Brush. He was born June 4, 1931, in Wilson, Ark., to Ralph and Naomi (Hood) Bass. He attended school in Merced, Calif., and married Gladys Lee on July 25, 1951, in Merced. Noah served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict on the USS Hancock.
He moved to Ft. Lupton in 1984 and retired in 1988 from Ford Motor Company in Denver after 35 years where he worked as a parts warehouseman. Previously he had lived in Brighton from 1969-1984 where he operated in Interstate Conoco at 70 W. Bridge St.
Noah enjoyed working with his hands as a mechanic, buying cars, camping and fishing. He was also an accomplished deer hunter and he loved his horses.
Noah is survived by his children, Travis (Barb) Bass, of San Diego, Calif., Michael (Sheila) Bass, of Ft. Lupton, John (MariKay) Bass, of Lochbuie, Trina Bass, of Brighton, and Tina Pralle, of Brighton; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, in 2005; one great-grandson, Walker, in 2013; one brother and five sisters.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2014, immediately followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., both at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
