COMMERCE CITY — The Commerce City Business and Professional Association is sponsoring a candidates forum Thursday, May 1, for the South Adams County Water & Sanitation Board of Directors election.
The election is slated fpr May 6 at the water district. Five candidates are running for three seats: Vicki Ennis, John Kuchar, Mizraim Cordero, Brett Steinbar and Aaron Phillips.
Board President JoAnn M. Stevinson and Director Larry L. Ford are term limited.
The community is invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
The Forum will take the place of the CCBPA’s regularly scheduled meeting. The group will gather in the Atrium of Commerce City Civic Center, 7887 E. 60th Ave., at 5:30 p.m. and as Muncipal Court adjourns for the day, will move into the Council Chambers. Organizers anticipate to start the forum at 6 p.m.
The usual format is 90-second introduction by each candidate, several questions from CCBPA members prepared before hand to warm the audience up, written questions from the audience, and a final summation by each candidate.The final summation should be 60 seconds or less.
Candidate information and literature is welcome and can be placed at the back of the room. No signs on the wall.
