WESTMINSTER — Prairie View won the Eastern Metro Athletic Conference girls golf title this season. The ThunderHawks edged out Rangeview High School by six strokes over the course of two conference major tournaments this spring.

Brighton’s Reagan Ritchey couldn’t hold off the charge of Rangeview’s Julia Kim in the second Eastern Metro Athletic Conference golf major at Hyland Hills Golf Course April 22. Kim fired a 1-under 73 to claim the individual league title. Ritchey finished two shots behind.

Prairie View’s Bruce Maclay, Sirena Maynes and Amber Tedesco finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in the individual standings. Brighton’s Audri Kobey (ninth) and Kylie Coleman (10th) rounded out Brighton’s top three finishers this spring.

PVHS heads for the regional tournament May 5 at the Colorado Springs Country Club. Brighton’s regional tournament is at Highland Meadows Golf Course in Windsor May 7. The rain date is May 8.

The state 5A tournament is May 19 and 20 at Raccoon Creek Golf Club in Littleton.
