AURORA — It was a good day April 26 for the Adams City relay teams at the Robert Caviness track meet at Aurora Public Schools Stadium.

The Eagles’ 4-by-800-meter relay teams (Jasmine Folsom, Jessica Folsom, Johanna Cruz and Karia Vasquez for the girls and Jacob Amador, Jozef McClure, Armando Vasquez and Albert Santiago) won their events. The girls time was 11:38.7. The boys turned in a time of 8:52.9.

Jasmine Folsom, Jessica Folsom, Lizbeth Mercado and Selena Figueroa took second in the 4-by-400-meter relay in a time of 4:52.8. Christina Folsom, Jessica Folsom, Mercado and Alexis Gonzales wound up third in the 4-by-200-meter relay in a time of 1:55.3.

The Eagles’ 4-by-100-meter relay team (Christina Folsom, Karol Martinez, Selena Figueroa and Christina Folsom) was fifth in a time of 55.7. The 800-meter sprint medley relay team (Alexis Gonzales, Karol Martinez, Selena Figueroa and Christina Figueroa) took fifth in a time of 2:03.2.

The boys 4-by-200-meter relay team (Amador, Raymundo Esparza, Jozef McClure and Noor Shongolo) was second in a time of 1:33.8. The 4-by-100-meter foursome of Raymundo Esparza, Roberto Alba, McClure and Noor Shongolo was fifth in a time of 46.86. 

Individually, Mercado was third in the 400-meters in a time of 1:07.5. Jessica Folsom was fourth in the 400-meters in a time of 1:08.2. Johanna Cruz was third in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 13:19.9.

Selena Figueroa was fourth in the long jump at 15-1 ¾. Alondra Lerma was fifth in the triple jump at 24 feet 7 inches.

On the boys side, Shongolo was second in the 200-meter dash in 22.83. Amador was third in the 400-meters in 53.94. Santiago was second in the 3,200-meters (11:06) and fifth in the 1,600-meters in 5:00.9. Javier Baca was fifth in the shot put at 39-2.
