Prairie View spotted Thomas Jefferson a six-run lead, then roared from behind to take a 14-11, non-conference win over the Spartans at PVHS April 26.

Brandon Sanchez had a home run and three RBIs. It was the first ThunderHawks’ home run at home in the history of the program. Zach Massey had two hits and two RBIs, as did Clay Davis and Joseph Lubick. Caleb Dameron had three hits and two runs batted in. He also swiped three bases to give him a total of 22, tops in Class 5A this season. Jacob Gallegos of Arvada West is next with 17. Dameron, a senior, needs eight more stolen bases to break the all-time record.

Jordan Jones came on in relief to pick up the victory. In five innings, he struck out 11 and allowed just three hits.
