Residents of Adams County, Commerce City, Brighton, Federal Heights and Thornton are welcome to take part in the Adams County Household Chemical and Electronic Waste Roundup, slated for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Hyland Hills Water World, 9801 Pecos St. in Federal Heights.
Proof of residency is required, and a contribution of $25 is requested per vehicle, with additional costs for electronics. No commercial waste will be accepeted.
Acceptable items include house/garden chemicals, automotive liquids/fuels, propane tanks, aerosol cans, ammunition, scrap metal, tires removed from the rim, TVs, computer monitors, batteries, paint and light bulbs.
