The Brighton Police Department will participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Take Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26.
Anyone with unused, expired or unwanted prescription drugs is encouraged to bring them to the Brighton Police Department for proper disposal. Items that cannot be accepted include needles and other sharps, thermometers, oxygen containers, chemotherapy/radioactive substances, pressurized canisters and illicit drugs.
National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposal, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of these medications.
