I hear elected officials talk all the time about how much they love “Made in America.” So I’m shocked that Congress hasn’t done anything to promote it, like approving the currency reform bills in the Senate and House. America should be responding when countries cheat at trade by manipulating their currencies. It creates a hidden tax on American manufacturers trying to export, and an uneven playing field for those who compete with imports. The results are layoffs, a rising trade deficit, and closed factories.

We take pride in what we make in Colorado, and our legislators should step up for our manufacturers and workers.  I hope they will cosponsor the currency bills.  We need to defend our jobs and stop other countries from cheating at trade.
