Ernest C. Yenni, 66, of Larkspur passed away June 14, 2008 at
Swedish Medical Center in Englewood.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. June 18, 2008 at St.
Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Castle Rock, with interment at
Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Ernest was born Aug. 9, 1941 in Manhattan, Kan., the son of
Samuel and Veronica (Konzem) Yenni. Raised in North Platte, Neb.,
he graduated from St. Pat's High School and served with the U.S.
Army Reserves for six years.
Ernest married Jeanine Louise Peterson Aug. 25, 1965. He was
employed at Vaughn's Printers following High School, then worked as
an electrician with Guarantee Electric in Hastings. They moved to
Castle Rock in 2000, where he obtained his real estate license. He
was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Ernest is survived by his wife, Jeanine of Larkspur, three
children, Kim (Bill) Shultz, Chris (Traci) Yenni and Craig Yenni,
eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Hannah and Riley Shultz, Elizabeth and
Elliot Yenni, Shelby Mallory, and Sydni Yenni. Two brothers, Fred
and Bryan and two sisters, Nadine Feist and Darlene Barrett also
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be sent to Saint Vincent DePaul Society in care of
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2746 Fifth St., Castle Rock,
Arrangements were made by Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson
