Trading in for Christmas at the Hope House

Young mothers from around the area came to Westminster’s Novation Church Dec. 8, as a part of the Hope House Christmas Sale. The Hope House program rewards young teen mothers with points throughout the year for reaching milestones, such as getting a GED, passing a semester of college or completing a parenting course. They are allowed to cash in those points in December, trading them to purchase toys and household good for their families.
Organizers said 125 young moms signed up to shop at the gathering.
