About me

I go to Metro (State) in Denver. I'm a senior, coming up this semester. Hopefully I'll be graduating soon. I went to Ponderosa High School in Parker. My parents still live in Parker so I'm down there a lot. I work as a nanny, and they live in Parker.

I ran in high school. I did cross country and track, that's kind of my go-to hobby. That and basketball.

Why I chose to run across the country

I first came across this run on Facebook, because I like to look for fun runs to do throughout the year. Usually, me and my mom will run them together. We're the runners of the family. I saw “4K for Cancer” and I thought 4K was, like, less than a 5K, so that's why I was like “Oh, that's kind of a perfect distance.” So once I clicked on it and read more about it, I realized the 4K stood for four thousand miles, which is not less than a 5K, that's for sure. I looked into it and had to get interviewed and everything, and I just thought, you know what, if I get this, then this is what I have to do. I had to take a step back from going to school full-time so I could pay for rent when I'm gone this summer. It took a lot out of me. We'll be starting in San Francisco. We leave June 17 and zig-zag our way across America all the way to Baltimore.

Growing up in Parker was like...

Very family-oriented. Me and family were always doing stuff, whether we were going to the parks. We were very family oriented.
