Cowboys and cowgirls, and Western folk in general, filled the American Mountaineering Center in Golden for the 30th annual Colorado Cowboy Poetry Gathering Jan. 18-20. This year, 16 performers, in addition to a few special guests, told stories and sang songs about the heartwarming, tear-jerking or humorous tales that come from ranch life, rural living and/or the Wild West.
