Rocky Mountain Swim Academy

This program is designed for the child ready for the first step in competitive swimming. This program will prepare participants for higher levels of swimming. Coaches will test all participants the first day of class to evaluate abilities. All swimmers must be able to swim continuous 50 yard freestyle with side breathing and a 50 yard backstroke. The emphasis of this program is on stroke technique and competitive drills.

The Mile High Dive Club is Colorado’s top ranked Olympic style diving club. HRCA and Mile High have teamed up to offer training for all ages and levels of athlete, from the beginner to the elite level diver. The mission of the program is to teach sound fundamentals for the sport of diving in a safe and nurturing environment while developing personal confidence, sportsmanship and providing a positive learning experience for the athletes. At this level, divers learn how to do tuck dives and somersaults in the four diving directions, front, back, reverse and inward as well as the correct technique to enter the air and the water to maximize scores and avoid injury.

The Highlands Ranch Community Association will be having the Inaugural High School Intramural Sports Program for the 2011-12 school year. These programs will emphasize participation and competition in a safe and fun atmosphere. All sports will be played at one of HRCA's four recreation centers. Gather up your friends and register as a team or sign up as a free agent player to be placed on a team. Come out and play, compete and have some fun during the various sports programs that will be offered during the school year. Winning teams will earn points for their high school. The high school with the most points at the end of the school year will earn the HRCA Intramural Cup. Basketball leagues for Boys, Girls and Coed divisions. For Coed league, teams must have at least one female player on the court at all times. Teams will have a maximum roster size of six players. Fee options for team registration or free agent players who need to be placed on a team. Tuesdays Nov. 1 through Dec. 6 boys league; Wednesdays Nov. 2 through Dec. 14 coed league; Thursdays Nov. 3 through Dec. 15 girls league. HRCA and the AYL Warriors have teamed up to develop the Warriors Cheerleading program. This program includes all children from kindergarten to 8th grade. Experience is not required, and the goal of these teams is to provide cheerleading support for the Warrior football organization during their season. All games are typically played on Saturdays, and all teams will perform at the AYL Super Bowl at the end of the season. There will be two practices a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Highlands Ranch Community Association will be hosting the Inaugural High School Intramural Sports Program for the 2011-2012 school year. These programs will emphasize participation and competition in a safe and fun atmosphere. All sports will be played at one of HRCA's four recreation centers. Gather up your friends and register as a team or sign up as a free agent player to be placed on a team. Come out and play, compete and have some fun during the various sports programs that will be offered during the school year. Winning teams will earn points for their high school. The high school with the most points at the end of the school year will earn the HRCA Intramural Cup. For coed soccer league, teams must have at least two female players on the field at all times. Teams will have a maximum roster size of 12 players. Fee options for team registration or free agent players who need to be placed on a team.
