The Sixteenth Rail: The Evidence, the Scientist, and the Lindbergh Kidnapping, by Adam J. Schrager, is the Wheat Ridge Cultural Commission’s choice for this summer’s Wheat Ridge Reads program. The program encourages a community literary experience during the summer months, culminating in joint discussions about the book in September. The book tells the tale of a forensic scientist whose diligence would help solve the kidnapping of the Lindbergh baby, is available at Jefferson County libraries, in local bookstores, and in e-book format.

Schrager will join the community discussion at a Books and Brew event on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 6:30 p.m. at Colorado Plus Brewery, 6995 W. 38th Ave., and at the Wheat Ridge Library, 5475 W. 32nd Ave., on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 9 a.m.
