The Tri-Lakes Monument Fire Protection District Board election on May 6 produced one new board member.
Three other previously appointed Board members were voted into office.
Larry Smith was appointed for two years to take over the seat vacated by Barbara Kelly, who had previously been appointed but decided not run in this election.
Meanwhile, Jacob Shirk (1,464 votes), John Hildebrandt (1,375) and Michael Smaldino (1,253) will maintain their previously appointed seats.
Thomas Tharnich (1,067) did not receive enough votes to gain an open seat.
Shirk, Hildebrandt, Smaldino and Smith join the seven-person board that includes Bruce Fritzsche, Bill Ingram and Roger Lance.
The new board members will be sworn in at the next board meeting, which is scheduled for May 28 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting takes place at 156 Second St.
At last month's Board meeting, outgoing Board member Rodrick Wilson was recognized for 10 years of service. He received a plaque.
Also at last month's board meeting, Chief Chris Truty received the go-ahead to pursue a merger with Larkspur Fire Department. The merger could take up to a year if it happens.
