Storm leaves many without power

Monday night's thunderstorm left many around the Denver metro area without power, with reports of downed trees in some areas.

According to Xcel Energy, roughly 12,600 customers throughout the area lost power during the storm.

As of 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, about 5,200 customers remained without electricity, an Xcel spokeswoman said.

Xcel expected to have all power restored by noon.
