Society presents ‘Warsaw Ghetto’
Experience the riveting story of Irena Sendler, who rescued 2,500 Jewish children from the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II. A member of the Polish underground, Sendler was a leader of the children’s section of the Zegota resistance and provided the children with false documents to help them escape.
Join the Parker Area Historical Society for its April program, “Angel Of the Warsaw Ghetto,” at 6:45 p.m. April 8 at Ruth Memorial Chapel, 19650 E. Mainstreet. Teacher/actor Judy Winnick will give an inspiring portrayal of Sendler, who risked her life to save thousands of children’s lives. All ages and non-members are welcome. The event is free.
