Alexander Herbert Gibson, 40, was arrested July 3 on suspicion of arranging to meet a 13-year-old girl, who was actually an Arapahoe County Sheriff's deputy, for sex.

Gibson allegedly posted an online listing saying he wanted to meet for a “secret sexual adventure with girls while their parents are away,” according to the sheriff's department.

The deputy replied in the persona of a teenage girl, and Gibson allegedly went on to describe explicitly how he wanted to engage in sexual intercourse with her.

They agreed to meet that day at 4 p.m. When Gibson arrived, he was detained by investigators from the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children unit, who seized several pieces of evidence from him and his vehicle.

Gibson was arrested and transported to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility, charged with Internet luring of a child, a class-four felony. He was being held on $50,000 bond.
