Young at Hearts will meet Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 11:30 a.m.at the Monument Baptist Church. The Lewis Palmer High School choir will perform. Mrs. Peggy Syferd is director of the choir. A history of the Palmer Lake star and the yule log celebration will be presented.

A special service will be conducted at the Monument Baptist Church on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. The Baptist Student Union Choir of Colorado Springs under the direction of Rev. Don Gurney, the director of BSU will present a music program. BSU is made up of college and nursing schools in Colorado Springs including the Air Force Academy. A potluck will follow the service. The church will provide refreshment and table service. All in the community are invited. Bring a dish to share.

Mr. Don Breese, Lewis Palmer High School principal, attended the Pikes Peak League Energy Crisis meeting in Leadville, Wednesday, Nov. 28. If any cutting of athletic programs is to be done it will be done at freshman and junior varsity level. All other prearranged school and music activities will be held as scheduled. Return bus trips at night will be funded by the host school. Pep clubs will not be taken on long trips. Mr. Breese reported that Lewis Palmer has a safe gas margin until January, 1974.

J.J. Morland’s Fifth Annual Production Sale will take place in Simla, Colo. next Tuesday at the ranch. A free lunch will be followed by a sale of livestock. Seventy bulls and 36 females will be offered for sale with free delivery of purchase of $1,000 or more.

Elementary school news: The Library at Palmer Lake Elementary is now in full service.
School pictures were sent home with the students for approval.
Mrs. Dianne Moore will give art classes on Dec. 7. On Dec. 12, a story hour is planned for those children going into kindergarten next year at Palmer Lake Elementary.
Children must be 5 by Sept. 15, 1974. Story hour will continue once a month for the remainder of the year.
