Englewood officers located and arrested a man who allegedly pointed a gun at a woman and threatened to kill her.

The victim called police about 4:40 a.m. July 2 to report she had been assaulted. Officers responded to a house on the 4200 block of South Galapago Street to talk to the victim. The 21-year-old woman said a 41-year-old man had accused her of stealing a gun the night before. The suspect then reportedly pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her.

The woman said she was afraid she would be killed and ran to a neighbor's house yelling for help. While the officers were talking to the victim, the suspect ran out of the back door of the house and down the alley. He was caught and arrested. The officers also found a weapon, which reportedly had been used to assault the victim. He could face a number of charges including felony menacing.
