David Anderson, division chief for North Metro Fire Rescue District, has earned the title of executive fire officer from the United States Fire Administration/National Fire Academy. Anderson’s certificate of completion from the 4-year Executive Fire Officer Program (EFOP) was presented to him at the District’s March Board meeting on March 18.
The EFOP is an initiative designed to provide senior officers and leaders with an understanding of how to lead fire and emergency services organizations in researching and developing best practices in emergency response, how to adapt to their community’s needs, and how to be a leader in their organization’s growth. The curriculum consists of graduate and college-equivalent courses as well as applied research projects following each course series.
Anderson joined North Metro in 1986 and has served as division chief for 10 years.
