Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Denver Donates $10,000 to Delta Eta Boule to Provide College Scholarships to Local High School Graduates


Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Denver has donated $10,000 to Delta Eta Boule, the local chapter of the Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity in support of this year’s Denim and Dazzle Gala Spectacular held Saturday, June 23 at the Infinity Park Event Center in Glendale.

Proceeds from the Denim & Dazzle event provide financial assistance to African American men in the Denver metropolitan area, to assist them in attending a college or university of their choice. The Delta Eta Boule Foundation has awarded 52 scholarships in the last 10 years totaling $200,000.

Three 2012 scholarship recipients were recognized and honored during this year’s Denim & Dazzle. Terrance Bishop from the Denver School of Science and Technology who is attending Colorado State University in the fall; As-Sabuur Ealey, an East High School student who has been accepted to North Carolina A&T; and Marquis Smith from Montbello High School and will attend University of Colorado Boulder. Scholarship recipients are selected based on academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.
