Monument bank robbed: Sheriff's office is asking for public's assistance


The El Paso County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man who robbed the People's National Bank.

A man walked into the bank, located on Woodmoor Drive, at approximately 1:50 p.m. on May 24 and demanded money from the teller. The sheriff's office said he got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man is described as a white male, between 6 feet 4 inches and 6 feet 6 inches tall with facial hair. He was wearing a green t-shirt, black pants and a white baseball cap with it turned backwards.

As of May 28 Sgt. Joseph Roybal, spokesperson with the sheriff's office said no arrest has been made. The sheriff's office is asking that if anyone recognizes the suspect from the pictures that were released to call 719-390-5555.
