THORNTON -- The Horizon Hawks weren't about to lose Friday's game, especially to rival Mountain Range.

In front of a packed gym the Hawks led from start to finish to cruise to a 63-53 win over the rival Mustangs.

Dillon Harshman led the way for Horizon with 17 points, while Stephen Sumey chipped in 11 points and four assists.

The Hawks defense was stellar throughout the game, slowing down Mountain Range (5-16 overall, 1-13 Front Range League) with its full-court press and finishing the game with 17 steals. Dustin Rivas had a game-high five steals.

Horizon (10-11, 6-8 FRL) also took advantage of the Mustangs' star player Jacob Taylor being slowed by foul trouble.
