A DOZEN OF THE WORLD’S MOST TALENTED DANCERS

WILL BE IN GOLDEN, COLORADO THIS APRIL!

A dozen world-class dancers, including Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Jill Parker and Sadie Marquardt, will teach classes in Golden, Colorado for the Elevation Belly Dance Extravaganza!

Elevation Director Elizabeth Ashner says, “We’re thrilled to be able to offer so much talent and artistry in one event! We want everyone in the area to have an opportunity to experience what these amazing dancers offer.”

TAKE CLASSES FROM BELLY DANCE SUPERSTARS!

The four-day extravaganza — April 24-27 — attracts hundreds of dancers from North America and abroad to study with our renowned teachers and performers. The best news is that classes are open to community members!

You can take classes in American Tribal Style® belly dance, Egyptian, Oriental, Cabaret, Transnational Fusion, Brazilian Silvestre Dance Technique and modern tribal fusion. Want to learn how to create gorgeous tribal hairstyles to adorn your dance? Diva Dreads, who travel around the country styling hair for belly dancers, can teach you. These classes will be held at the American Mountaineering Center and Golden Community Center.

WHAT IS AMERICAN TRIBAL STYLE DANCE?

Want to learn about the roots and evolution of American Tribal Style Belly Dance (ATS) from the founder, herself? Join us on Thursday, April 24 at 7 p.m. for “What is ATS?” With Carolena Nericcio and Megha Gavin. The presentation will be at the Buffalo Rose and will be followed by an ATS dance demonstration and party (hafla).
