Green Mountain Falls has a full roster of candidates for the municipal election April 1. Mayor Lorrie Worthey is being challenged by Mayor Pro Tem Jane Newberry.
For the positions of trustee, Margaret Peterson is running to keep her seat to which she was appointed after the resignation of Scott Useman. With three seats open, other candidates who pulled petitions last week are: Christopher Quinn, Michael Butts, David Cook and Don Ellis.
On another issue, the Concerned Citizens of Green Mountain Falls were successful in gathering enough signatures to have two measures placed on the ballot in a special election May 20. Voters will be asked to rescind the ordinance establishing the position of a town manager; and to recall trustees Howard Price and Ralph LoCascio.
