First Commercial Bank, Colorado, has earned the 2011 Community First award. The award is presented annually to the bank that demonstrates the highest level of commitment to helping its local community through tangible programs, policies and projects.

Small in size, First Commercial Bank has just four Colorado branches and 16 employees. Its focus is on leadership and volunteer roles in the communities it serves. Because of First Commercial Bank’s concentrated volunteer efforts, it remains competitive against banks of all sizes. The employees at First Commercial Bank believe the relationships they foster from serving are truly the foundation of the bank.

“I am extremely proud of our time and efforts dedicated to several nonprofit organizations and charities,” said the bank’s Colorado market president, Don Rogers.
