Arapahoe Community College has received a $30,000 Daniels Fund grant for need-based scholarships.
The Daniels Opportunity Scholarship awards will support student veterans at ACC who need supplemental assistance in addition to the GI Bill, as well as those with little, or no, GI Bill funding. Veterans who are enrolled at ACC and have served in the Armed Forces of the United States are eligible to apply for the grant, which was awarded earlier this month and will run through June 30, 2014.
“Arapahoe Community College extends its most sincere gratitude to the Daniels Fund for this generous grant,” said Courtney Loehfelm, executive director of the ACC Foundation. “Military veterans who attend ACC will now have an even greater opportunity to access the resources and support that they need to be successful at Arapahoe Community College and beyond.”
Bill Daniels, a pioneer in cable television known for his kindness and generosity to those in need, established the Daniels Fund to provide grants and scholarships in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. For more information about the Daniels Fund, please visit www.danielsfund.org.
