Olde Town Arvada Brings Summer Fun at 2nd Saturday Street Festivals

Summer evenings in Olde Town Arvada will again come to life at the upcoming 2nd Saturday Street Festivals, presented by Historic Olde Town Arvada. The music of regional favorites The Wendy Woo Band, Kory Brunson Band, and Doctor Robert will echo down Grandview Avenue on June 14, July 12 and August 9 from 4:30pm-10:00pm. Of course, the best way to enjoy live music in a charming historic shopping district is with a plate of tasty street food and an ice cold beer! Visitors will find plenty of food choices, beer and wine, and shopping options from vendor booths lining the street. Olde Town Arvada events always signal family fun, and the 2nd Saturday Street Festivals are no exception. A wide array of kids’ activities will create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for guests of all ages. The recent Olde Town Arvada St. Patrick’s Day Festival brought nearly 4,000 people into Olde Town, and citizens are already buzzing about the summer events.

“Olde Town Arvada is really becoming a destination for activities, and these festivals represent that spirit well. From the music to the beer to the Kids Zone, we’ll have something for everyone and we’ll give people a reason to stay out for a few hours,” states event coordinator Adam Mueller. “I think people enjoy celebrating summer, and they enjoy celebrating in Olde Town Arvada. The charming historic shopping district we have here makes a perfect backdrop for street festivals.”

Historic Olde Town Arvada will be closing down Grandview Avenue, just east of Olde Wadsworth Boulevard, for each 2nd Saturday Street Festival. The event area will be enclosed to ensure a fun, safe, and relaxed experience, and also to allow beer and wine to be sold on the street. Entry is free of cost and all are invited to come. Tickets to purchase drinks will be sold at locations within the event area. Parking is free, with the best spots available in the long-term parking lots near the Jefferson County Library and the historic Flour Mill.
