CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, and particularly to the electors of the Marshall Lake Metropolitan District of Adams County, Colorado.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 32-1-804.1, C.R.S., that an election will be held on the 6th day of May, 2014, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. At that time two (2) Directors will be elected to serve 2-year terms* and two (2) Directors will be elected to serve 4-year terms.

Self-Nomination and Acceptance Forms are available and can be obtained from Lisa A. Johnson, the Designated Election Official for the Marshall Lake Metropolitan District, 141 Union Boulevard, Suite 150, Lakewood, Colorado 80228-1898, (303) 987-0835.

The Self-Nomination and Acceptance Form or letter is to be submitted to the Designated Election Official not later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014, 67 days prior to the regular election. A Self-Nomination and Acceptance Form that is not sufficient may be amended once at any time prior to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014. Affidavits of Intent to be a Write-In Candidate must be submitted to the Designated Election Official by the close of business on Monday, March 3, 2014, 64 days prior to the regular election.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN pursuant to Section 1-8-104, C.R.S., that applications for mail-in ballots may be filed with Lisa A. Johnson, the Designated Election Official of the District, 141 Union Boulevard, Suite 150, Lakewood, Colorado 80228-1898, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., until the close of business on the Friday immediately preceding the regular election (Friday, May 2, 2014), except that if the applicant wishes to receive the mail-in ballot by mail, the application shall be filed no later than the close of business on the 7th day before the election (Tuesday, April 29, 2014).
